A new app for Android users has launched called SAFECELLapp. The app is designed to disable the phone, email, and messaging functions the Android smartphones and alert drivers when they are entering into school zones. The app also promises to pay drivers for using it with rewards for their favorite retail stores.
The app has a yearly fee associated with it of $11.99 per year. Those who buy the app before December 28 will get the app free for life at the $11.99 rate with free upgrades. The app uses GPS and a proprietary database of federal, state, county, and city cell phone usage law to allow the app to function even in cities where the driver isn’t familiar with the laws.
The app activates when the device is traveling at more than 5 mph. The app can also be used to monitor trip details including phone use, email, and text messaging. The reports can be used by companies, parents, and users to determine if laws are being followed. The points earned with the use of the app can be spent at Apple, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and more retailers. The user gets one point for every mile driven while following the applicable laws.
