Thousands of apps on the Google Play Store are being updated each day to add some Android 5.0 Lollipop goodness. Along with the sweet Android are Material Design elements for a new feel and experience. One of the most popular fitness apps today, RunKeeper won’t be last to get the Android L and Material Design features as the app was recently updated.
The RunKeeper GPS Track Run Walk app for Android now features a new activity list. You’ll notice the updated screen with the latest Google card design. Your every activity now will have a unique card to show including statistics, activity maps, and other important information.
Most screens have received makeovers. You’ll see some changes to the Start, Me, and Friends tabs. Notice the ripply animations and buttery smooth transitions when you click the app as described by the RunKeeper team (FitnessKeeper, Inc.).
The new RunKeeper now loads faster and with enhanced performance. Of course, several bugs have been fixed as well. Go on and continue tracking your pace, chart weight loss, crush training goals, and measure workout distance with the RunKeeper. You can track almost anything: runs, bike rides, walks, and training workouts with the GPS in your Android smartphone–in real time and with high accuracy.
If you just started to get fit, you can search for and follow pre-planned routes for your walk or run. The app also features audio coaching for training plan workouts. Other stats that can be tracked include mileage, speed, pace, calorie count, and total mileage. The updated RunKeeper app also supports Pebble or your Android Wear smartwatch, as well as, your Polar Heart Rate Monitor.
