WhatsApp (which is owned by Facebook, just in case you forgot) has been adding a lot of great features over the past few months, and if rumors are to be believed, it will be giving us even more goodies in the very near future. This is a very good time to be a messenger app user as almost all the big players in the market are pulling out all the whistles and stops in order to catch the attention off extremely fickle public.

One of the upcoming rumored features is for those who miss calls often. When a notification shows that you weren’t able to answer a call for one reason or another, you can easily return it with a call button, without even having to open up the WhatsApp well, app. Voicemail will also reportedly eventually arrive for the users, giving the ability to make/record and then send a voice message in case you missed another call or you just want to leave a message for a contact.

The rumors are also saying that the next update will give users the ability to compress their files into a zip document to help indirectly save on data usage. Previously, the app already supported PDF, VCF, DocX, and Doc files, in terms of sharing and being able to access them. And of course, the update might also bring the previously leaked video calling feature.

If any or all of these supposedly upcoming new features are even remotely true, then WhatsApp is really after its users hearts. After bringing end-to-end encryption, group voice calling, document sharing, and other minor things, expect its user base to grow even more, especially if the features we mentioned above will really be added in the next update.
