It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the upcoming flagship from HTC is assumed to be the One M10, codenamed Perfume. It’s been a little quiet on the rumor front with regards to that lately, but now it seems like new speculation on its existence has surfaced on the web. An alleged “real-life photo” of the device was leaked lately showing a radical design departure. But now the latest rumor says it comes with a 5.2-inch diagonal display, instead of the earlier rumored 5.1-inch display.
Okay, so that’s not really a huge rumor, unless you consider the 0.1-inch disparity huge and a game changer. But yes, it is a departure from what we thought earlier was going to be a 5.1-inch display, which was already slightly bigger than the current flagship the HTC One M9. Other previous rumors were actually based on speculation and had no real “evidence” so to speak. But when the alleged photo came out, some of those ideas actually may have credence.
If we base it on that one photo, there will be no huge HTC logo on the front and there are no stereo speakers. Plus, the fingerprint scanner will be located at the bottom of the smartphone’s face. But aside from the size of the display, other rumors remain like the 1440 x 2560 pixel QHD resolution powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC. It will also come with Sense 7 UI built on top of the Android 6.0.1 but it will be upgraded to Sense 8 later on.
There is also no rumor yet as to when the Perfume will be coming out or even announced. If we stick to the previous pattern, the annual upgrade for the flagship is actually near, so we might expect more concrete rumors and even leaks over the next few weeks.
