Roku earlier announced that a more powerful version of the Streaming Stick will be available soon. It’s obviously an Amazon Fire TV Stick and Chromecast rival. The pocket-sized streaming device is built with a faster processor. Expect speed up to 8x more and better connectivity with the dual-band MIMO wireless technology. The device works with the Roku Mobile App where you can control and navigate what you see on the bigger TV screen.
Use the phone as a remote anytime as you choose an episode of your favorite show on Netflix. You can also cast cat videos YouTube directly to the screen, play music, stream channels, and more. The mobile app was recently updated with some enhancements plus a new feature: Private listening. The idea is to stream music or audio whenever you’re wearing headphones.
Meanwhile, there’s another feature called Play On Roku that makes it easy for you to stream photos, videos, and music to an external display. If you’re in Roku, you can always check the OS 7.1 features.
If you still don’t have the Roku Streaming Stick, you can pre-order for one today from BestBuy.com and Roku.com or at Best Buy and Walmart. The streaming stick is only $49. It’s very small but the streaming device can bring you lots of entertainment and more choices to couch potato with.
