Among the many famous “rivalries” we’ve come to know (dogs vs cats, plants vs zombies, coffee vs tea), you would never have thought that bears and art would ever be an inspiration for a mobile game. But as random as it seems, that’s exactly what Halfbrick Studios (makers or Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride) have done with their newest game called, well, what else, Bears vs. Art.
The background story is that Rory the bear wants to fight back against all these art galleries suddenly sprouting up around his place of habitat. He doesn’t necessarily hate art but these were built by greedy millionaires who probably know nothing about art, but just wanted to showcase pointless pieces just for the heck of it. So now you have to help the bears defend their home, in spite of all the sneaky security measures surrounding these artworks.
The game has more than 150 different puzzles, with more to come in future updates. Not only do you get to rip certain art pieces to shreds, but you also get to challenge your brain and fingers with random puzzles scattered all over the place. You can also play in infinite mode so you will not run out of these random puzzles. You can also change Rory’s outfits and add accessories, which can also help in the gameplay. You will also get “special abilities” that might be game changers.
You can also play with your friends, if they also feel strongly about abstract, meaningless art pieces. You can download Bears Vs. Art for free from the Google Play Store, with in-app purchases available.
