When you think of customized earphones, you immediately think of something truly expensive and something that would take a few days or even weeks to create. But a new Kickstarter campaign has come up with a 30-second and relatively inexpensive alternative, while also promising excellent sound quality. The Revols project has already reached its target but you still can support it and get your own custom earphones at an early bird rate.
The makers of Revols says that they have actually created a premium quick custom-fit wireless earphones that can give you both the comfort you need in your ears but have also partnered with Japanese audio-specialist Onkyo for the technology. But the selling point for this product really is the fact that you can customize it to fit to your ears comfortably, and you don’t even to move where you are to do so.
Just place the earphones that have gel-filled tips into your ear, and once it is molded to your comfort level, then you press a button in the companion app on your smartphone, and just like magic, the tips will harden to keep the shape and create a mold that is for your ears only. All this can happen in just sixty seconds and without you ever leaving your seat. The earphones have an 8 hour battery life, but if you’ll be needing something longer than that, they also have a Revols Revive battery pack that can add six hours more.
There are still 39 days to go until the campaign ends and you can get the Revols earphones cheaper than its planned SRP of $300. The cheapest options are all gone now, so you have to shell out $199, which is still relatively cheaper obviously. The estimated delivery is by June 2016.
