If you’ve been around Android Community, then you will have seen us write about Remix OS at one time or another. This is the version of Android from Jide Technology that incorporates multitasking and multi-window operations more naturally than stock Android, much like in true PC dektop or laptop operations. This time, Jide is bringing the newest version of Remix OS to the Nexus 9 and Nexus 10 tablets.
With Remix OS installed in the Nexus 9 and Nexus 10 tablets, you can actually start using these devices in a more PC-like manner. Remix OS incorporates keyboard shortcuts and multi-tasking quirks that used to be only the realm of PCs, but now have their own parallel in Android. You can sync a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to these Nexus tablets and have a more PC-like device instantly.
If you want to flash your Nexus tablets with the new version of Remix OS, you are doing so at your own risk, this is not in any way near official from Android. You may find the full flashable factory images at the links below, but you will need custom recoveries to flash these images with.
Also remember to backup your data if you want to go ahead with these – your personal data will be at risk of deletion if you don’t do a backup. Otherwise, go for it and enjoy multitasking goodness with Remix OS!
