Because of Xiaomi’s heavy spilling of info and publicity, hardly anyone does not know that the upcoming Xiaomi event on July 27 will be the unveiling of the Redmi Pro and possibly the Redmi Note 4, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves. In another batch of leaked images from Weibo, we can we what is purportedly the Redmi Pro, with its brushed metal finish and dual cameras.
Information on the specs of the Redmi Pro have been scrace, but combined with a Geekbench leak and Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun posting his heart out on Weibo, we might now have a better picture. The Redmi Pro will probably feature an OLED display of some sort, powered by the deca-core MediaTek Helio X25. This is an improvement on the Helio X20 that was developed by MediaTek and Meizu.
And now, because of these leaked images, we can probably confirm the dual cameras on the back – so dual cams are no longer just the domain of the Huawei P9. And these pics also show off the brushed metal finish at the back of the purported unit.
There is talk going around that there will be a Redmi Note 4, a lower variant, and then the Redmi Pro, which will be the more robust in specs of the two. That said, there are just only 5 days to burn from now until the launch, so we will not be waiting that long for confirmation.
