Raywar: Pandemonium twin-stick shooter now on Android

If you were playing video games during the late 90s, you probably came across or even played a couple of games that used twin-stick shooting elements and that had an explosion (not literally) of graphics and color. Now you can relive those kinds of games with the second game in the Raywar series called Raywar: Pandemonium. Just make sure you don’t have any kind of tendency to have seizures or eye problems.

Just looking at the trailer, which is a minute full of colorful and retro graphic elements, will give you an idea of what to expect visuals-wise in this new Android game. If you can’t take such a visual attack to the senses, you might need to stay away from this. It’s not just random though; you are trying to fend off a crazed attack from your enemies and your only weapon are your two fingers and a whole lot of weapons.

The game has 14 unique stages and 1 boss fight as well as 4 different game modes to choose from. You will be able to use 4 different kinds of ships and take advantage of 8 different weapons and abilities like teleportation, homing bullets, etc. You can also play it as a local multiplayer game as it can support two game-pads. It also has some clever controls, like if you lift one of your thumbs from the twin-stick controls, the game will automatically pause and then resume once both thumbs re on the controls.

You can buy Raywar: Pandemonium from the Google Play Store for just $1.12. There aren’t any more in-app purchases so that price tag sounds about right.
