Qualcomm has the Snapdragon 855 for a premium processor and recently, it rolled out a new mobile platform for the mid-range category. The Snapdragon 712 brings more premium features plus AI functions. It follows the older Snapdragon 710 but offers better and faster performance that is ideal for gaming and other multimedia experiences. It’s already built on the 10nm process and multicore Qualcomm AI Engine.
As with the previous Snapdragon 710 chipset, this one includes the Qualcomm Hexagon 685 DSP, Qualcomm Adreno 616 GPU, and Qualcomm Kryo 360 CPU. Speed is everything as this one offers faster graphics rendering and processing.
Gamers will benefit from the faster processor as games will render more smoothly as if you’re playing on a console. When it comes to audio, Qualcomm Aqstic audio technology allows an immersive and premium audio quality all the time.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 mobile chipset also includes the Snapdragon X15 LTE Modem, 4G LTE, 4×4 MIMO and License-Assisted Access (LAA) support, and Qualcomm Spectra 250 camera ISP for enhanced media playback. AI is what makes this one more efficient to use, thanks to the Qualcomm AI Engine.
Battery optimization is also possible with the Snapdragon 712 so expect longer battery life on whatever smartphone will use the chipset. Add the Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology so extra juice can be attained within 15 minutes.
