If you want to be one of the first to own a Nexus 6 which will be running on the new Android 5.0 Lollipop, then you can either switch to AT&T or if you’re already a subscriber, get another line of service through their Next program. The carrier announced that pre-orders for the smartphone, which is actually the first Nexus device on their portfolio, will start by November 12, through their online store and also in their retail stores.
The Nexus 6, manufactured by Motorola, has a 6-inch Quad High Definition display and will be running on an 805 quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.7 GHz processor. It boasts of a 3220mAh battery which can give your phone a 6-hour battery life with just 15 minutes of charging, and couple that with Android Lollipop’s supposed power-saving features, and you will have a constantly mobile person’s dream (in terms of battery life). Of course it comes with all the benefits of the newest version of Android, including the Material Design aesthetics and the new heads-up notification style, among others.
In terms of multi-media experience, the Nexus 6 has a 13 MP main camera and a 2MP front-facing one. It also has Optical Image Stabilization and a dual LED ring flash, to enable you to take better pictures. The pre-installed Google Camera uses HDR+ which will enhance even more those Instagram or Snapchat photos that you keep on taking. And to give you a better video-watching and music experience, the smartphone has front-facing speakers to bring you immersive sound.
So how much is this baby going to cost you? The Next program will give it to you for $0 down, through Next 24 it will cost you $22.77 per month, Next 18 is at $28.46 per month while Next 12 is at $34.15 per month. Or you can just get it at $249.99 for a two-year agreement with the carrier or if you don’t want any commitment, just purchase it outright at $682.99. They’re throwing in a $50 discount on the Moto 360, Moto Hint or Moto Sliver II if you buy the Nexus 6 through their Next program. Tempted yet?
