We’ve lost count of how Google Assistant-powered devices have been announced this week. There’s the LG AI-enabled TVs, Volvo, JBL Link Bar soundbar, and Wear OS by Google getting the Google Assistant support. Next in line is Polk Audio with a new smart speaker that uses the Assistant called as ‘ Polk Assist’. It also uses Chromecast built-in and the old Android Things. Polk Audio is introducing the Polk Assist that offers quick and reliable smartphone experience.
Polk Audio’s Google Assistant integration includes being able to work with Chromecast. This means you can set up a Poly Audio speaker part of a multi-room setup and other home audio solutions by the brand. The speaker promises impressive audio quality all the time. You can also take advantage of the MagniFi Mini and MagniFi Max services, premium sound, and the standard Polk Audio design.
The Polk Audio Google Assistant speaker is simply a new Google Home device with the Assistant. There’s a Google Assistant button so you can manually activate the system. Other controls are on top of the speaker.
The Polk Assist speaker will be available next month with a $199 price tag. Choose from either the cool gray or black version.
