Pokemon GO will always be in the news until the augmented reality game launches in majority of the markets. It has become phenomenal this past July and we’re expecting to hear more related news and see more Pokemon-hunting accessories in the coming days or weeks. The app has received an update a few weeks ago and as it gets more popular and widely used than ever, more bugs and kinks are being discovered.
If you’ve been training for a while now, you will notice some changes on the game. Niantic has now allowed avatars to be re-customized right from the Trainer profile screen. As one of the biggest updates since it was first launched, this release brings personalization to a player’s avatar. Before, you can only customize at the beginning while creating an account. This time, you can now change the look of the avatar depending on your preferences. Feel free to change the color of the hat, backpack, or shirt of your trainer.
This version 0.31.0 also brings adjusted battle move damage values for some pocket monsters. Known memory issues have been improved while gym animations were also refined. Battle damage calculation has been changed a bit, as well as, those Pokémon details screen and achievement medal images. Some bugs during wild Pokémon encounter have been squashed while those issues displaying some map features have been fixed already.
Footprints of nearby Pokémon have been removed so don’t expect to see them during your hunt. This means you won’t find the footprints on the “nearby” feature on the screen. Other noticeable change includes the ‘transfer’ option now located under the menu button which you normally see while inspecting a Pokemon. If you’ve marked some pocket monsters as favorites, don’t worry about getting rid of them accidentally because they are now protected.
