Another day, another new Pokémon GO related app enters the fray. We really can’t blame brands and developers since we don’t know if this cultural phenomenon will last a long time or it’s just a massive flash in the pan, and so they need to strike while the monsters are still hot. The new app in the block is called Poké Live and it shows you which of those common and elusive monsters are surrounding your area right that moment.
There are a lot of third-party apps that claim to be the best Pokémon map detector, but some of them become pretty unresponsive over time. Poke Live for Pokémon GO seems to have limited features for now, but it does perform its basic purpose well. You don’t need to log in or sign up for anything. It just hones in on your location and shows where the nearby monsters are so you can catch them with your main Pokémon Go app.
However, unlike some of the other searching and mapping tools, you won’t be able to go search for a specific place that you’re planning to go to soon and check out if there are any monsters out there. We’re pretty sure that they will plan to add such a functionality later on. Also, since this is a free app, there are standard banner ads on the app.
If those are okay with you, you can download Poke Live for Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store for free. Expect more apps like this to come out of the digital woodwork.
