We have no idea why the superheroines of our childbood are popular again. We’ve been seeing those Powerpuff avatars all over social media networks a lot lately. The most probable explanation, of course, is that the reboot of the cartoon TV series. Cartoon Network decided to relaunch the series and earlier this April, the first episode was aired in the US. We haven’t seen it yet but people are already criticizing that the the show lacks some sugar and spice. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup may need another round of training from the Professor, eh?
If you’re not interested in watching the cartoon, you can just try this new game starring the Powerpuff Girls. Flipped Out is an adventure game that will have our favorite girls fighting against monsters in dozens of match-3 puzzles. Those who grew up watching the Powerpuff Girls battling against all the enemies especially Mojo Jojo, will feel nostalgic while playing the game. Choose either Sugar or Spice mode so you get to enjoy the game in two different ways.
In Sugar mode, you need to be smart and fast enough to match same colored creatures. Your goal is to clear what you see on the screen. Spice mode will have you challenging the beasts using your fist in a hand-to-hand battle. You need to use your super energy and make sure you protect Townsville from the enemies. A Powerpuff adventure won’t be complete without you protecting the city from all the bad guys. You can upgrade your stats and powers by unlocking stickers along the way.
Several languages are supported aside from English. So if you speak Italian, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Korean, Portuguese, Japanese, or Turkish, you can play this game in your native language. It’s nice and cool to hear those girls speaking the way you do.
