Pioneer showed off their cool prototype head-ups display recently and its definitely one of the best I’ve seen. It starts out by generating ethereal navigation images by using lasers. The map data comes directly from the Android smartphone only making this process cooler.
This demonstration has really shown the progression society has made with lasers and could really be a break through in the car industry as well as the mobile industry. Pioneer told Network world that is is planning on selling a version of the technology sometime by 2012, but this could be a add-on to the car and not a pre-installed feature on cars. Despite this, they are still impressing car producers and this could turn into a big innovation for the car industry. For now, we will wait for this awesome invention to come to us consumers, check out the video for a preview as well.
