Just a little about four months after Samsung launched its Galaxy Tab A (2016), there were rumors that they will be releasing a new variant later this year, and this one will have the same S Pen that is part of the recently released Galaxy Note 7. Now, we have some pictures leaked of the supposed new tablet, and it is indeed sporting their proprietary stylus. The leak may be evidence that they may be planning to announce it during the ongoing IFA 2016 in Berlin.
When it comes to the specs, it is still the same as the earlier variant released, with a 10.1-inch display and running on a 1.6GHz octal-core Exynos 7870 processor. It will also supposedly have 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be expanded through a microSD card. It will also probably have the same 8MP main camera and 2MP front-facing shooter, since you will probably not use it to take pictures at all. It also has a 7300mAh battery that should last you for some time, even if you’re using it a lot.
But of course the highlight of this leaked image is the addition of the S Pen, the same one that can be found on the Galaxy Note 7. This means it will have features like launching the Air Command menu, translating a word by hovering your stylus above it. It will also supposedly have the screen off memo, so you can write on your screen even if your device is locked.
No news of course about pricing and expected availability of the Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S Pen, or if it will even be called that. Some are hoping that it will be announced during the IFA 2016, although the availability will probably be later this year.
