Philips has long been a reliable home and consumer brand for over a century now. It has since entered many industries and regions but the Android community cares more about the smart home game now. From Android speaker docks to headphones to TVs, soundbars, and smartphones, the company retains its place in the consumer electronics market, especially in key markets. When the Philips Intelligent Lighting was introduced, we knew it was something special. After several developments, we know the Philips’ Hue connected lighting system is one effective platform although it needs a lot of changes.
The mobile app needs to be upgraded and it’s actually getting a revamp now with the all-new Hue app.
The Philips Hue app now features an updated user interface. The UI shows shortcuts so you can easily change the lights and color with a color picker. Grouping and ungrouping lights are also possible from the app.
For a more fun and exciting experience, special themes like a night out in Soho or the sunset in Honolulu are available. Just choose a theme and Philips will change the lights with specific colors and range.
The new Philips Hue app will be out for Android this month as a free update. Download Philips Hue from the Google Play Store.
