Pebble has just recently released a big firmware update for most of their devices out in the market, bringing new features to the smartwatches it was made for. With the update for the firmware also comes an update to the Android (and iOS) app that makes for one of the biggest bumps in software and features for the Pebble line of smartwatches out there.
The firmware update brings Pebble Firmware 4.0 to current devices including Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel, and Pebble Time Round. It will also be available for the upcoming smartwatches of the Pebble line – the Pebble 2 and Time 2. The firmware brings new features such as a redesign of Pebble Health, Timeline, and the Pebble interface as a whole. New features include App Glances to preview app information without opening said app, 4-Button quick access, and new system animations.
The Pebble app for Android also gets some new goodies. These include Pebble Health Activity and Sleep charts updates for easier reading, and the Pebble Health settings button moved from the Apps tab to the main Settings menu.
To update your Pebble firmware, you must update the Pebble app first from the Google Play Store. The firmware update is contained in the app update itself. Make sure to check out the link below to update your Pebble app.
