When Pebble showed to the public its new line smartwatches for 2015, we have to remember that these new wearables came with a sleek new interface to see what’s coming up and the events that have just happened. It was called Timeline, and was only initially available on the Pebble Time, Time Steel, and Time Round. The outfit has now moved towards making the feature available on its older watches as well, by announcing Timeline for older Pebble watches.
Starting today, users of the older Pebble and Pebble Steel can apply to be one of the beta testers of the new software on their older devices. This beta project/version is only available for Android users for now, and is also just in English. Pebble says that other languages will be available in the final build.
The new software brings the Timeline interface, but also changes the infamous restriction to only 8 apps supported. Now, users can install as many apps as their watch’s memory will allow. Pretty cool, Pebble.
Check out the source link for how to apply for the beta program. The timeline for launching the final version for Android and iOS will be sometime later this month.
