It’s just a week or so before Mother’s Day and if you’re still looking for a special gift for your mother or your wife or a special someone you know who’s a mom, then Pebble is hoping you’re going the tech gadget route. They have announced a Pebble Time Round Special Edition that has been designed to appeal to those who prefer their wearables to be a little more feminine. It comes in rose gold and silver colors and has a double-wrap leather band.
The special edition comes in two colors and which you choose should depend on what your giftee prefers of course. There is a Rose Gold and black edition and a Silver with Haze edition, and both come with a double wrap leather band which goes around your wrist two times so it looks cooler. Aside from the design, it’s the same Pebble Time Round that they released earlier this year.
If you need a refresher on what the smartwatch is all about, obviously from the name, it is a round wearable with an always-on colored e-paper display. It also claims that it is the world’s thinnest and lightest smartwatch at 38.5mm x 38.5mm x 7.5mm and weighing at 28g. It can last up to 2 days of use if fully charged and has an LED backlight for when you need to glance at it in the dark. It is protected by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass and has an IPX7 water resistance certification.
Because it is a special edition device, it is a bit more expensive than the regular Pebble Time Round. It will cost you $229.98 with free shipping so you can send it directly to your gift recipient (or yourself!) if you want to.
