For people who rely on keeping up to date with all the latest news in their respective industries, having the best and most convenient news reader is very important. When Google Reader went away, it became time for new (and not so new) apps to level up and try to take their place. Palabre was one of those that took on the mantle, and now they’re updating to version 2.0 by adding more providers, improved design and more customization options.

One of the best things about this update is the addition of even more news providers, like Twitter, The Old Reader, Inoreader, and Flickr. So if you’re fond of any of those resources, then you can also enjoy items from them on your Palabre feed. And if you’re a developer, you also get to add more providers of your own since they have made available the SDK, which is one of the joys of being on the Android platform.

Design-wise, Palabre has also done a semi-make over. It now has a new logo/icon and a better designed interface. One thing that people look for in news readers is the ease of use and at the same time, it should be nice looking too. It also now has better tablet support, more customization options, and a new large card mode, in case you prefer reading your news using bigger letters and images. Chrome custom tabs are also now supported with this latest update.

Palabre 2.0 has now been officially released for everyone after more than a week’s rollout. The developers are also looking for Patrons so if you feel like supporting indie developers, you can support them and in turn, they will make you almost a part of the team. You can check on the update through the app’s Google Play page.
