Another week, another software update for a OnePlus flagship model. Not that the Chinese OEM releases OxygenOS update for any of its mobile phones every week but the company regularly offers such updates. The company isn’t behind its schedule because it wants to make sure that the smartphones are always updated. The latest release is the OxygenOS 3.2.6 over-the-air (OTA) update for OnePlus 3.

As usual, release is incremental so don’t worry if you haven’t received an alert or notification yet. Several improvements and bug fixes are already included in this update like those in 1080p video recording, camera quality, and adaptive brightness performance. Voice call quality of some instant messaging apps and the white balance have been optimized. When it comes to the occasional green and yellow issue and bluetooth connectivity problems for some vehicles–those have been addressed as well.

With this update, the OnePlus 3 is now allowed to modify ringtones courtesy of a 3rd-party app. Added to the many features are the PocketMode switch in Display settings and the DozeMode switch in Developer options. OxygenOS 3.2.6 also optimizes touch accuracy when you’re playing mobile games and battery consumption especially when scrolling.

OnePlus formally rolled out the software update over the weekend. Some users have already received the OTA. If you haven’t, be patient as OnePlus commits to deliver the update online to everyone ASAP.
