The LG G5 made a splash at last month’s Mobile World Congress due to its uniquely modular design and the “friends” that you can use along with it. Of course for such a precious new smartphone, if you already have it, then you would need to protect it with something you know is up to the job. Otterbox may not be the most stylish or compact of phone cases out there, but its bulkiness equals protection. It has released three new cases for LG’s new flagship under its three main case series.
The Defender Series case is for “everyday rugged defense” and comes with three layers that should be able to protect your phone from constant dropping, acquiring of dirt, and the scrapes and tumbles that devices go through in the daily wear and tear of usage. The Commuter Series case likes to describe itself as “seriously slim and tough” as the multi-layer case is sturdy enough to protect your phone from the daily grind while offering a slimmer case than you normally would expect from the brand.
Lastly, the LG G5 case from the Symmetry Series has been certified with the Drop+ Protection while at the same time still shows off your smartphone’s design. It may be slim and more fashionable (well, as fashionable ad any Otterbox case can be) but it does promise to protect your device from “drops, bumps, and fumbles”.
The Defender Series ($49.95) and the Commuter Series ($34.95) can now be bought from the Otterbox website. Meanwhile, the Symmetry Series will be coming soon and will cost you $39.95.
