There are many folks out there that probably cut their Android teeth on the original Droid smartphone from Motorola. If you are a fan of the first Droid, the device has now officially gone out of stock.
Presumably, with the Droid 2 coming on the horizon the original smartphone will never be in stock again. The first Droid was on the market for about nine months.
The replacement Droid 2 has been turning up in leaks and various advertisements for a while now. With the original out of stock, the door is open for a new Droid in town.
