OPPO 2019 Innovation Event is happening very soon but we believe that one is reserved for the OPPO F19. We’re looking forward to the 10x hybrid zoom, three cameras, and the wide zone optical fingerprint recognition. The phone could also come with a punch-hole camera as shown off in a new patent. But today, OPPO surprised the industry watchers by announcing two new phones–the OPPO RX17 Pro and the OPPO RX17 Neo. We already saw the R17 last year and it even got a New Year Edition. The RX17 is a different series but still very similar with other OPPO phones.
The Oppo RX17 Pro and RX17 Neo look almost the same especially the front display. There’s a very noticeable difference at the rear because the Oppo RX17 Pro has dual rear cameras in a vertical orientation while the Neo’s cameras are positioned horizontally.
The Oppo RX17 Pro‘s specs are similar to the R17 Pro except for the RAM. The phone comes equipped with a large 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, 2340 x 1080 pixel resolution, 12MP w/ f1.5 plus 20MP w/ f2.6 and 3D TOF sensor, 25MP selfie shooter with f2.0 aperture, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, 6GB RAM (8GB on the R17), 128GB onboard storage, 3700mAh battery, and Android 8.1 Oreo topped by Color OS. Colors available: Fog Gradient, Radiant Mist, and Emerald Green.
The Oppo RX17 Neo has a larger screen but unnoticeable at 6.41-inches compared to the Pro’s 6.4-inch display. The screen is AMOLED and boasts a 2340 x 1080 resolution. When it comes to imaging, there’s the dual 16MP w/ f1.75 and 2MP w/ f2.4 cameras plus a 25MP selfie shooter, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM, up to 128GB onboard storage, and a 3500mAh batt. This one also runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS and is available in Mocha Red and Astral Blue.
The two phones will be sold in the United Kingdom with the following prices: 319 GBP/$418 (Oppo RX17 Neo) and 549 GBP/$720 (RX17 Pro). The Oppo Find X will also be available with a 799 GBP ($1,045) price tag.
Carphone Warehouse will start selling all three phones beginning February 13.
