It’s a great time to be a TV show and movie fan since on demand video apps are all the rage right now. But it also means that your data allowance from your carrier will eventually suffer (and probably your battery too) and so will your wallet when you pay those overage fees. Opera Max has been helping smartphone owners save on their data usage for video streaming apps and sites, and now, tablet owners will also have that data-saving power on their gadgets.
Basically, what the Opera Max app does is to help you save up on your data when you stream videos and music, as well as optimize your websites and image views. It works across several apps like Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, Instagram, Flipboard, and Chrome as well. The app claims that it can save up to 60% data when you watch your favorite shows on Netflix and 50% when you watch YouTube videos.
Managing all these apps is now of course easier since you’ll be doing it on a bigger screen. It also now supports other languages, even the right-to-left ones like Arabic, Urdu, Persian, and Hebrew, bringing their total to 63 supported languages. They say that because of this new update, 98% of Android users will now be able to use Opera Max’s data-saving powers.
You can download Opera Max for your Android tablets, as long as they’re running on 4.0 and above, from the Google Play Store for free.
