If you’ve been dreaming of getting the soft gold variant of the recently launched OnePlus 3 instead of the graphite one that is currently available, then you’d have to wait a few more weeks before you can actually get one. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei confirmed on Twitter, in response to one eager user’s inquiry, that the new flagship device’s other color will be available during the latter part of July, but with no specific date.
A user tweeted Carl Pei directly and asked him when the soft gold version will actually be available (and even used the hashtag #hypeisreal). Pei nicely replied to him and therefore announced to the world that it will be available next month, although not saying when exactly. At the OnePlus online store, you can only order the graphite version of the flagship, and although that one already looks pretty good, if you’re more into gold, then you probably would want to wait.
The OnePlus 3 has gotten much attention since it was announced last week. With its 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display and 1080p resolution, it is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset and has a remarkable 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It has a 16MP main cam and an 8MP front-facing one. You also get a 3,000mAH battery, a fingerprint scanner and NFC support.
While there is no official announcement yet from OnePlus, we assume that the soft gold version will have the same price as the graphite version, which is currently priced at $399. We’ll find out more later on as the latter part of July comes closer.
