The smartwatch has already established its position in the industry. We’re only waiting for more manufacturers to come up with more affordable models. We’re not really demanding for more advanced smartwatches but we know that different groups and markets will find wearables useful for numerous purposes. Parents especially can make use of smartwatches to give to their kids as a tracking device.
Omate has just released the Wherecom K3 as a next-generation kid smartwatch. It’s a 3G smartwatch and wearable GPS tracker in-one perfect for children between 6 to 10 years old. Powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop, this device also runs Wherecom user interface. It’s kid-friendly UI that shows simple features like a pedometer, alarm/music/gallery, and kid-friendly pre-installed apps for the kids.
Specs of the Omate Wherecom K3 include a 1.54-inch color capacitive touch screen display, 320 x 320 pixel resolution, 3G SIM card slot, microphone, and a loudspeaker. The Omate smartwatch is made of a polycarbonate case material and a removable 20mm standard strap than can be replaced. Device is also powered by a 1GHz dual core processor and features an 8GB built-in storage, 1GB RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G connectivity, and a 600 mAh battery.
