Lately we’ve been seeing these Experience shops for Samsung devices in stores like Best Buy, and the folks from NVIDIA are aiming to do something similar for their upcoming Android-powered game console, the NVIDIA SHIELD. In a recent blog post NVIDIA confirmed you’ll be able to test drive SHIELD before you buy it throughout the entire month of August.
It’s an odd idea, but potential buyers that are headed out to see Pacific Rim or other summer blockbuster movies will be able to stop by select theaters with “SHIELD Experience Centers” to try the Tegra 4 quad-core gaming system themselves. You’ll be able to learn all sorts of details about these little gaming devices too.
From now until the end of August these SHIELD experience centers will be live in two different locations in the SF Bay area, as well as the NYC area as well. NVIDIA will have staff on-hand to answer questions, and you can give the latest Dead Trigger 2 Android shooter game a try. Here’s where you’ll need to be headed to check it out yourself.
