Users of Nokia phones like the Series 40, Series 60, Symbian, Ahsa, and Nokia X devices that enjoy buying apps and games from the Nokia Store have a change coming they will want to be aware of. During the first half of 2015, the Nokia Store will be replaced with the Opera Mobile Store.
The Opera Mobile Store will become the place to go to for tens of thousands of apps for Nokia devices. At the beginning of 2015 when users visit the Nokia Store, they will be redirected to the Opera Mobile Store and given the chance to become a new customer.
Opera says that developers who have been developing apps for Nokia devices have something to look forward too as well. Opera will be working with Microsoft to clarify how to republish apps on the Opera Mobile Store.
The Opera Mobile Store supports more than 7500 different devices ranging from feature phones to advanced smartphones. There are currently almost 300,000 apps in the store and millions of downloads each day.
