If you have been waiting to get your hands on the new Nexus 9, the wait is almost over. Google Play lists the Nexus 9 as shipping only 1-2 days after you order it directly on the website. If that is still longer than you can stand to wait, you may be able to get the device in your hands faster if you order it from somewhere like Best Buy.

The Nexus 9 is one of the first devices to hit the market running Android 5.0 Lollipop. HTC is the maker of the tablet, and it is the first Android tablet the company has produced since the Flyer, which was not a popular device. It is also the first Nexus device that HTC and Google have worked on in a long time.

The tablet is also the first 64-bit Nexus device and will be able to take advantage of the 64-bit ready Android 5.0 OS. The tablet is available in 16GB selling for $399 and 32GB for $479. If you buy from Best Buy, you may be able to drive down to the local store for pickup and have the tablet the day you order.

The Nexus 9 features an 8.9-inch screen with native resolution of 2048 x 1536. The brain is an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor running at 2.3GHz mated with 2GB of RAM. Power is from a 6700 mAh internal battery good for 30 days on WiFi and LTE standby. The rear camera is an 8MP unit with a 1.6MP front camera.
