YouTube user “JerryRigEverything” has done a number of scratch tests and durability tests on other phone models before, so one can say that he’s not new at this. But if you start the title of your durability test video with “The Nexus 6P is a joke…” then you’re bound to get a mixture of reactions, given that this is Google’s newest flagship phone – built by Chinese outfit Huawei. And that’s precisely what he got.
The tester started his Nexus 6P test with a scratch test – testing scratching materials of different hardness on the Nexus 6P’s Gorilla Glass 4 glass surface. The glass started scratching at hardness level 7, which is quite normal at this point. But the screen showed a physical crack on the glass after this test. Next he did a burn test on the screen, putting a cigarette lighter’s flame directly on the screen. The AMOLED display reacted by going white on the parts that had the most heat.
What followed after is the main matter of contention. The tester easily bent the phone in half, with him claiming that his little sister could have bent it with such little amount of force he gave. Some commenters, especially on Reddit’s /r/Android section, said that the initial scratch test, the crack and the flame may have contributed to the durability result, especially since other tests on Youtube have proven the opposite.
Some people also claim that his test on the Nexus 6P was not scientific, and can therefore not be trusted. But loyal subscribers to the said Youtube channel seem to trust the tester and are taking him at his word. What do you think about the Nexus 6P?

He obviously fucked up the phone in order to raise his channel views and subscriptions.
Wasn’t a consumer model. Back doesn’t even have Nexus and Haiwei logos.. Might be a clone or a prototype.
This isn’t a test, it’s sabotage.
It’s clear the phone has a major design flaw. Buy it at your own risk.
