We’re not forgetting the Google Nexus line. In fact, we’re anticipating this year’s Nexus phones because they will be the first to run Android N. That we’re sure because the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X were powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow at launch. We’re not sure how many Nexus 6P Google sold already but we’ve been seeing new accessories for it or are hearing some news related including that speed test against the LG G5, birthday treat discount from Google aside from the Valentine sale and promo in Australia.
We’ve seen the gold Nexus 6P earlier this year but one Redditor thought he could make a custom white and gold Nexus phone. ‘Aweezy’ was inspired with the HTC 10 Gold variant but found it underwhelming for its price. He said that storage is only 64GB and for the price given, the phone is too plain. Instead of spending a lot of money on the HTC 10, he just ordered a white Nexus 6P equipped with 128GB storage.
And so the Redditor got himself a new Nexus 6P set in white. Inspired by the gold HTC 10, he swapped out the superficial parts to make the White and Gold Nexus 6P. He gladly shared the steps on a Reddit thread. Allow us to share the simplified instructions below but please refer to the original post on Reddit.
1. Get a replacement package that includes a spare glass visor, gold housing case, suction cup, 2 plastic wedge tools a, four screw drivers, and a pair of plastic picks. Also prepare a heating pouch like the one the modder did–uncooked rice in a sock.
2. Warm the glass visor by putting the rice-filled sock in the microwave for two to three minutes.
3. Pry the glass visor off by using a safety pin to wedge the visor off.
4. Warm the plastic off.
5. Check all screws. Remove them. Make sure you don’t lose those screws.
6. Heat the entire body for this part if possible.
7. After heating, remove the body to reveal a very thin phone.
8. Drop the Gold case on.
9. Replace the glass visor.
10. Put the parts of the phone together.
According to the Redditor, this is more of a makeover. This mod has actually made a more attractive Huawei Nexus 6P. Agree?

Tbh, that’s actually pretty ugly IMO. I have the matte black.
