yonomi app

At the DEMO fall 2014 conference, Yonomi announced a free mobile app that allows incompatible gadgets to interact with one another. The mobile app allows devices to react to you and to one another as needed to make everyday life at home more convenient. Simply put, the app allows a well-connected home even if devices are not compatible.

What Yonomi is doing regularly is to add more to its list of supported devices. At present, it supports Philips Hue, Belkin Wemo, Nest, Sonos, and Jawbone UP. Yonomi is trying to partner with more brands to add support for more connected devices. Of course, Yonomi will take into consideration user demand so don’t worry if your current smart gadget at home isn’t included. Yonomi is working on that.

Yonomi did a live demonstration at DEMO Fall 2014 last week. The company’s CEO and co-founder Kent Dickson was very proud to announce the free app at the event. DEMO executive producer Erick Schonfeld even agreed and said, “Yonomi has the potential to be a game-changer.”

The Yonomi can also support different services like scheduling based on date and time, location based events, sending push notifications to phone, and common phone functions like outgoing and incoming calls. Most remote and cloud-based control are supported by Yonomi.

Here is a complete list of supported devices: Jawbone UP24, Jawbone UP Move, Jawbone UP3, Philips Hue Lights, Philips Hue Lux Lights, Philips Hue Light Strips, Nest Thermostat, Nest Protect smoke detect, Sonos Play:1, Sonos Play:3, Sonos Play:5, Sonos Connect, Sonos Connect:Amp, Sonos Playbar, Belkin WeMo Switch, Belkin WeMo Insight Switch, Belkin WeMo Light Switch, and Belkin WeMo Motion Sensor.
