The next OnePlus flagship phone is set to be introduced in the next few days. Simply called as the OnePlus 3T, this new variant will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor from Qualcomm. It’s the latest chipset introduced only last July, made especially for premium phones.
The next OnePlus will be equipped with a 2.35GHz S821 SoC. We’ll finally know this November 15 what the smartphone is all about and how it is different from the OnePlus 3. If you may remember, the OnePlus 3T was sighted online recently with a faster processor. We have yet to test how fast it really is but we’re expecting performance and speed will greatly improve.
With the new Snapdragon processor, the OnePlus 3T will be able to do faster device root and quick app launches. The phone can also support a dual camera setup and take advantage of ClearSight. We’d like to know how the S821 will make the OnePlus 3 series even better since the Pixel and Pixel XL equipped with the same SoC didn’t yield any impressive results on Geekbench.
Out of the box, the OnePlus 3T is expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat. Features include an aluminum body, 8MP selfie shooter, 16MP rear camera, 3000mAh battery, 64GB onboard storage, 6GB RAM, and a 3000mAh battery. There’s also the Dash Charge technology, 4G VoLTE, and USB Type-C connectivity.
