Music fans that have the Android app for YouTube got some good news yesterday when the streaming site announced that music videos would now be offered on its streaming app. The updated app gets access to the VEVO catalog of music videos on the YouTube 2.0 app.
If your device lacks the new app installed you can download it manually. Some devices have earlier versions not supporting the videos installed out of the box. The app also has new features that make it easier to find and enjoy the videos.
Music videos have a music note badge on them, the user can also read artist info while watching the video, and a tab for artist’s tracks lets you find more videos by the artist. There is also a related artists tab to find other groups and singers that are similar. YouTube also offered a key fact in the announcement; it exceeds 200 million views each day on mobile devices now.
Wow, cool! 🙂
