Maybe OEMs have already given up on trying to extend the actual battery life of their devices, but it looks like we’ve been seeing a glut of products that aim to help your smartphone or tablet along, especially for people who are almost always mobile. The latest to release a super power charger is Motorola with its TurboPower technology, promising to give you up to 8 hours of battery life even if you charge it for just 15 minutes.
Even though this TurboCharger is created by Motorola, it is not limited to only their products. In fact, if you use it on a device that is Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0-enabled, it will charge your device 75% faster compared to other devices with the “regular” processor. It also works with both smartphones or tablets, as long as they are USB-enabled because it covers a wide range of profiles. It also doesn’t affect the charging algorithm of your battery so you can charge it over and over without worrying about if it will decrease your device’s lifespan.
And in case of sudden power surges or cut-off of electricity, extreme heat conditions or any other dangerous situations in relation to wall charging, your device will (hopefully) not be damaged since it has a protective feature. The TurboCharger has a power output of 15W with the standard 5V or if TurboPowered, 9V and 12V.
The TurboPower 15 Wall Charger will cost you $34.99 and has an input of 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Meanwhile, you can also get a TurboPower 15 Car Charger for $29.99 with an input of 12V.
