That was fast, before most people even got the OTA for the Motorola Droid X to Android 2.3 that we mentioned yesterday it has already been rooted by none other than TeamBlackHat. @P3Droid has already posted pictures on twitter of the About Page and superuser permissions being accessed. Cool!
Back during the end of March the Droid X Android 2.3 Gingerbread OTA was nearing its final stages and it was leaked and brought to us by the same guys over at TBH. You can read about that here. They have friends at Verizon, or Motorola, or both because they always seem to be hot on the chase when it comes to anything Motorola.
For now this is only a screenshot of the official OTA that has been rooted. I’m assuming that by tonight, or sometime tomorrow they will be releasing instructions and all that other good stuff so all you Droid X users can root your updated device. Stay tuned for more info, as it should be coming soon.

Funny how you think that the OTA has been rooted,… when the OTA has not been released yet……..
Funny how you think it hasn’t been rooted. Theres this thing called a ROM. It lets you get things like “Gingerbread” from Verizon’s Official update that has not been released until a day ago.
This is not the ota build. The ota build has not been rooted yet…
