Okay, so we get it. The Droid 2 is real, it exists somewhere outside of our collective imaginations, and it’s coming to Verizon. Eventually. Some day, it’s coming. And, just as we saw with the official user manual of the device last week, we get to see the full details of the upcoming smartphone well before Verizon has actually officially said anything about the device’s existence.
In any event, here’s the training manual, leaked to Droid-Life. There’s even a comparison chart, which will put the Droid 2 up against the competition that’s out there. Like the iPhone 4, the HTC EVO, and the HTC HD2. Basically, the top devices on the other carriers. No surprise there, as comparison charts are a great way to teach customers about what’s great and what’s not, right there in a nice little graph.
As for the details in the training manual, that goes something like this: the Droid 2 will feature a remote lock & wipe, features “DVD quality” video recording, corpoate exchange/ActiveSync has been impoved (does that mean it works?), and the true successor to the original Droid is . . . (wait for it) . . . Being pushed as a replacement device to the original Droid.
Other than that, there’s nothing here that we didn’t already know. So, if you already haven’t picked up your Droid X, or you’re waiting for it, are you now considering the Droid 2 as your next device instead? After all, it has that new-and-improved hardware QWERTY keyboard, and the screen is a bit smaller than the X’s. Which we know some folks out there still like. Let us know in the comments.
