As long as Motorola is alive and the Moto products are selling, the Motorola Connect will be regularly updated. It’s a companion app for the Moto 360 that customizes and controls the brand’s smartwatch line. This app now brings support for the recently unveiled Moto 360 and of course, including some bug fixes and changes to the interface.
As expected, new watchfaces have been released as well, featuring more animations and interactions as made possible by the new interactive watch face API. You’ll notice that the new watchfaces include Dials, Dials II, Essential, and Refined. The Dials and Dials II options can be customized to show the battery, Moto Body activities, and the Weather. Meanwhile, the Essential is integrated more with Moto Body. It can display your progress within the day on your Moto 360.
If you’re familiar with the Moto X Pure Edition and Moto G 2015’s Moto app, you’ll notice the similarity with the new UI of the Motorola Connect. Notice the brighter and bigger elements on screen. These changes are not only availble on the new Moto 360 but also on the original model. It also supports numerous Moto products like Moto Surround, Moto Pulse, Motorola Connect PC Extension for some phones (Droid Mini, Droid Maxx, Droid Turbo, Droid Ultra, and Moto X), Motorola Power Pack Micro, and Motorola Keylink.
