Right about now, hopefully, if you’ve got yourself a Motorola Backflip sitting around, you might be getting prompted to download a brand new software update. But, don’t get too excited — this isn’t Android 2.1. No, this is just a software update to get a handle on a few more bugs that plague the device.

The bug fixes are for the system itself, which should improve the overall functionality of the device. Other bonus features include improvements to messaging, the camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and more. As is usual for an OTA update, you’ll be notified as soon as the update’s made its way through its phases and found itself on your device. No official word on how long the update will take to reach all devices, but we don’t imagine it should take long. Let us know in the comments as soon as you get yours, and what you notice has changed.
