The arrival of the Moto Z3 Play is happening very soon. How come? Because more images and information are being leaked left and right. After announcing the Moto E and Moto G, Motorola is set to reveal the next-gen Moto Z3 Play. We’ve seen image renders and a 360-degree video shared online plus that KARBON SHIELD case already listed for pre-order. We’re looking forward to that dual camera system and smaller bezels plus 6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and 18:9 Max Vision aspect ratio and more.

The display will be larger than usual as the bezels become smaller. The Moto Z isn’t exactly mid-range but more upper-end. The phone series gets an improvement with the 18:9 aspect ratio. It also implements the slightly modular idea with Moto Mod compatibility.

The shape and design of the Moto Z3 Play haven’t changed much because the phone is supposed to work with present Moto Mod add-ons and extensions. At the front is a large 6-inch AMOLED screen with the 18:9 formation, and 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution. There is no notch but the earpiece and 8MP selfie camera and flash are present. At the bottom are two microphones. On the rear you will see dual 12MP cameras and a flash at the bottom. The camera system is protruding similar to the Moto X4.

The Moto Z3 Play is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB storage, and a 3000mAh battery. The fingerprint reader is now placed near the on-off switch button on the right edge of the device. The back panel is no longer metal but the Moto Mods will still be attached by strong magnets. The pins are still the same so you can still use your previous Moto Mods.

There’s no confirmation by Motorola yet but the Moto Z3 Play could launch this June 6 in Brazil which can now be considered an emerging market. Speaking of Moto Mods, Motorola is believed to be launching the 5G Moto Mod. Some photos appeared, showing the Moto Z3 phone design plus a 5G Moto Mod which can be attached to the back.

Obviously, this Moto Mod will be 5G connectivity to the Moto phone. The mobile Internet speed isn’t a standard yet but it should be available in key markets soon. We’re thinking the 5G Moto Mod would have a larger and more powerful antenna.

Motorola is also believed to be adding new camera features, as well as, Moto Experiences with new enhancements on Moto Display and Moto Voice. We’re looking forward to those bundles we mentioned last time: Moto Z “Gamepad” Edition (Gamepad Mod), Moto Z “Power” Edition (Battery Moto Mod), Moto Z “Projection” Edition: (70-inch Projector Mod), and the Moto Z “Style” Edition (Style Shell).
