The Moto Z variants include the ‘Play’ which we haven’t seen up to now. We’ve been introduced to the Moto Z Force and the basic Moto Z but now we want to know what this mid-range phone is about. We noted in June that it could be arriving soon after being shared online and before the official announcement. We know this Moto Z Play will be the follow-up to last year’s Moto X Play and looks like we’ll see its light soon as the handset is believed to be on its way to India.
The Motorola phone is said to be being tested for commercial launch as the Vertex. It’s only a codename for the Z Play which was sighted last month complete with a 3GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 1080p AMOLED touchscreen, 16MP camera, and a 3500mAh battery. We’re expecting the rumored Moto Z Play to be powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
There could also be the 16MP and 5MP cameras and based on the leaked document above, the mysterious Vertex will have a 5.5-inch touchscreen display.
We’re not sure if this Moto Z Play will have a USB-Type C port but the Moto Z Force and Moto Z have it. So the ‘Play’ is on its way to India or maybe it’s already making its round of testing in the country. Let’s just wait and see for the official announcement because we have a feeling we’re only a few days away.
