While a lot of people are probably all about the new smartphone that will be announced this week from the folks over at Cupertino, if you’re an Android person, you probably wouldn’t care. If you’re an Android person who lives in the UK and is in a market for a new device, then you probably would care that the Moto Z and its accompanying Moto Mods are now available in the country after being exclusive to the US for the past few months.
If you need a review on what the Moto Z brings to the table, it has a 5.5-inch quad HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which should be expanded through a microSD card. It has a 13MP main shooter and a 5MP front-facing camera and a 2600mAh battery with TurboPower charging. Instead of the usual headphone jack, the smartphone now uses a USB-C connector which can either be interesting or annoying for you.
What makes the Moto Z stand out though is the fact that you can buy several modular accessories to make the use of your smartphone more interesting. There are four currently available: Incipio offGRID Power Pack, JBL SoundBoost Speaker, Hasselblad True Zoom and Moto Insta-Share Projector. You can just attach them to the back of your smartphone to be able to use their respective functions. And we can expect more Moto Mods in the future of course.
The Moto Z is priced at £499 on the Motorola store. You can also run this smartphone through the Moto Maker, but choices are somewhat limited. The colors available are White & Fine Gold or Black & Lunar Grey. You can already pre-order and receive your device by September 14.
