Motorola has announced availability for the Moto X in the UK. The handset will be available for purchase beginning on February 1st and those looking to make a purchase will need to shell out £380. That price is for the 16GB model. One catch with making a purchase will come in with the color. Motorola will have the black model Moto X widely available, however the white model will be exclusive to Phones4U.
Aside from needing to pick up a white Moto X from Phones4U, the overall specs should sound familiar to anyone that has been following the US launch. In other words, the UK release of the Moto X will bring the same 4.7-inch 720p display with dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera and 10.5 megapixel rear-facing camera.
Of course, the handset will also have the basics such as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC as well as 3G and 4G LTE connectivity. The one perk for those in the UK, the Moto X will be launching with Android 4.4 Kit Kat. Those in the US have likely already received the update, but this should be a plus for the UK market as it means there will not be any wait to go from Jelly Bean.
Otherwise, the 32GB model Moto X will also be available direct from the Motorola website. And, as for that Phones4U exclusivity offer on the white model Moto X — that is looking like it is locked in for a three-month window. In addition to the Moto X, Motorola also has the Moto G available for those in the UK. The Moto G sits priced from £130.
