If your smartwatch runs on the Android Wear platform, you’ve probably been enjoying the latest update, version 5.1.1, for the past month or so. But if you own a Motorola 360, then you’d probably have been waiting in vain. The OEM confirms that until now, they are dealing with performance issues and the end isn’t in sight anytime soon, without going into the specifics of the delay. Sadly, owners of the wearable have no choice but to wait until the issues are settled.

One user tweeted at Motorola, asking when the update will arrive and expressing his disappointment that most of the Android Wear smartwatches have it but he doesn’t. Motorola then replied that its “performance is not quite there yet.” They assured users however that they are still working with Google to fix the issue and ensure that it will work great with their device. No explanation was given as to what those “performance issues” are.

Android Wear 5.1.1 rolled out to users last month, with the LG Watch Urbane being the first to receive it. Aside from the usual bug fixes and improvements, the update also brought Google Play Music to the wearable. New notifications, the ability to draw emojis on the screen, and adding flick gestures as well.

As we said, there are no APKs or side-loading updates that are available right now. so really, the only thing that a Moto 360 device owner can do is to wait it out while Motorola settles their problems. Or you could always buy another Android Wear device if you’re that impatient.
