The Meizu MX5 Pro was earlier sighted and we thougt it might have a 6-inch 2K display. The smartphone has already reached GFXBench and we learned it will come with a full-metal build. The Chinese manufacturer is prepping up the Android phone and we’re expecting an official announcement anytime soon. Actually, there’s information that the next flagship phone will be unveiled on June 30.

A day before the launch date, a set of images has leaked. Looking at the photos, we can say that the next Meizu MX flagship looks a lot like the new Samsung Galaxy S6. The images are nothing like the blurry ones we’ve seen in the past so we have more idea how the Meizu MX5 looks like. You can see the rounded unibody design and the elliptical home button similar to what Samsung usually uses.

So far, we know the Meizu MX5 will have a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 3GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage, Mediatek MT6795T SoC (Helio X10), a 20.7MP main camera, 5MP selfie camera, 2160p/1080p video recording capability, and a 3150 mAh battery.

As for the special features, this Android 5.0.1-running smartphone is will make use of a new fast charging technology called mCharge. This new tech can juice up the MX5 to 25% within ten minutes. There’s another rumor of a Meizu MX5 Pro which will be upgraded to 4GB and will have a 6-inch QHD display screen, a 20 megapixel camera, and Exynos 7420 SoC processor instead.

Over at Geekbench, the Meizu MX5’s score is around 5300 points–somewhere near the Samsung Galaxy S6. As for the pricing, we heard it will be around $290. That’s a mid-range price for a premium flagship phone so it should be very attractive to future consumers.
