The TicWatch E2 and S2 are finally coming. The two look so much alike but they are still different in many ways. We remember Mobvoi showing off the TicWatch E2 smartwatch last year but it’s only now both wearables are ready to hit the market. These smartwatches offer smart fitness features and promise reliable swim-proofing so you don’t have to worry about water seeping in especially if you love water sports and activities. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear, expect impressive performance, speed, and seamless connectivity.
The TicWatch E2 costs $159.99 in the US (£145.99/€159.99 in Europe). The TicWatch S2 also costs the same.
Mobvoi also announced the TicMotion. It’s a new suite of proactive fitness features by Mobvoi. It offers more than just counting calories or steps. Its invisible AI algorithms help the S2 and E2 features to be maximized.
The TicMotion allows swim monitoring and analysis of different data including speed and lap time. It offers fully automated activity recognition for daily monitoring of activities like sleeping or running without the need for a third-party app.
The two may be closely similar but the TicWatch S2 is more ready for rugged and outdoor adventures because of its MIL-STD-810G US military-grade rating. To review the specs, the smartwatches each feature 1.39-inch AMOLED screen, 400 x 400 pixels, Bluetooth v4.1, WIFI, GPS, Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset, accelerometer, heart-rate sensor, gyroscope, and a 415mAh battery.
